The Cuban pygmy owl (''Glaucidium siju'') is a species of owl in the family Strigidae that is endemic to Cuba. Its natural habitats are dry forests, moist forests, and heavily degraded former forest. The Pygmy-Owl is the most frequently observed of Cuba’s owls. They breed in tree holes formerly used by woodpeckers. There are three known subspecies of the Cuban pygmy-owl: ''Glaucidium siju'', ''Glaucidium siju Vittatum'', and ''Glaucidium siju Turquinensis''.〔 ==References==
